How do I book?
I will now be operating through a Books Open / Books Closed method. When my books are open, a form will be available for you to complete in the menu! For more information about my booking process, check out my Booking Info page. If there is no form available in my menu, that means my books are closed.
How much do your tattoos cost?
For smaller pieces, I will determine the price by piece (the minimum charge is $120). But for longer sessions I go by an hourly rate which is $200 per hour. The cost of your tattoo will depend on a variety of factors including: what the design is, the size and placement. If you would like a quote for your piece, please ask me while booking and I will provide you with a rough figure.
What methods of payment do you accept?
I only accept cash as payment. Deposits can be transferred before the booking, but it is cash only on the day. So please come prepared for your booking! There is an ATM near by if necessary but surcharge fees may apply.
How long does it take to hear back from you?
For new booking enquiries whilst my books are open, it can take up to 10 days - 2 weeks to hear back from me. If I am already in the process of booking you in, replies will be at least once a day. Sometimes, if I have a large influx of enquiries within a short period of time, replies may take longer.
Where and what days do you work?
I currently work Tues-Thurs 11am - 7pm & Sat 11am-6pm, and am working from Seven Saints Tattoo located at 754 Burke Road, Camberwell, Vic
Can I see the design before my appointment?
For custom designs, you will be able to see a draft of your tattoo about 4-5 days before your booking date. Simple designs that don't require customisations or changes will be shown on the day, and any extra changes can be made then. I no longer send out completed designs prior to appointments; if you would like to see the completed drawing beforehand, we can organise a time for you to come in and see it in person.
Is my deposit refundable?
No, deposits are non-refundable. So please keep this in mind when booking. For more information on my deposit policy, check out my Terms & Conditions of Service.
Can you tattoo another artist’s work?
If the other artist has given permission for it to be used, or if you have a tattoo ticket for it, then yes (if it is a similar style to what I usually do). Please include evidence of the artist's permission in your enquiry so I can confirm this. Otherwise I will not directly copy another artist's tattoo or design.
Do you use vegan inks?
Yes, all my inks are vegan and do not include any animal by-products.
Can I get tattooed if I am under 18 years old?
No, it is illegal here in Victoria to tattoo someone under the age of 18, and having parental consent doesn't change this.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Make sure you are well hydrated, rested and have eaten before you come in. Please do not drink any alcohol the day before and remove any fake tan that is over the area that will be tattooed. If you are getting a large tattoo, please prepare your skin by shaving the area beforehand too. Bring food and water with you if necessary and something to distract you if needed (for eg: music or something to read or watch on your phone).
How should I care for my tattoo?
Check out my Aftercare page for a detailed explanation.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Short answer: Yes. However, the severity of the pain will vary from person to person and is also dependant on placement. Some areas of the body will be more painful than others, for eg: the top of the forearm will hurt less than above your ankle. But every individual is different has a different level of pain tolerance!
Can I use numbing cream?
You may, but please note that the numbing cream will not hold for the entire length of your tattoo. It usually lasts for roughly 30mins-1hr, so you will start to feel the tattoo after that.
Numbing cream must be applied before you come in to the studio and you must apply it as the directions state otherwise it will not work. (Although on some people it may not work in general - it's different for everyone!) Also, depending on the cream you use, it may affect the skin and how easy it is for me to tattoo you.
Can you tattoo over scars?
Depending on the severity of the scar/s, yes. But I go by a case by case basis for this. If you'd like to inquire about me tattooing over your scars, then please email me a photo of the area and include your tattoo idea and I will let you know. I personally prefer not to tattoo over areas that are too aggressively scarred, but light-medium scarring is usually fine.
Do you do coverups?
This will depend on what the existing tattoo is, and how you want it to be covered. My work is fine line which is not usually ideal for coverups, but sometimes it can work. For me to be sure, please send me an email and include an image of your existing tattoo and how you want it to be covered. A general rule of thumb is that the new tattoo needs to be double the size and darker than your old tattoo for it to be covered.
Can you retouch other’s people’s work?
I prefer not to.
Do you do finger or face tattoos?
No, I currently don't do finger or face tattoos.
Do you offer touchups?
Yes, the first touch up for your tattoo is free within the first 6 months of getting your tattoo. If the tattoo requires touch ups after your first free one, then it will be subject to the usual rates depending on how much needs to be done.
